DEMOBAZA goes green and concrete for AW21 collection
All is made of light. This might be the biggest takeout from DEMOBAZA’s latest video, released to promote the latest Autumn-Winter 2021 men’s and women’s collection. Shot on location in Barcelona, Oneness might some like your typical video runway review, but the concept reveals itself as a little deeper on further inspection.
As stated by the designers Demo and Tono in the accompanying notes, It’s time we wake up into a new era. It’s time to redefine love, to remember freedom. It’s time to feel the vibration of these words as a guidance tool for collective revolution. Into oneness we rise as we open our eyes unveiling through the night that all is made of light. Nothing is divided - all roots in one force.
Shot on location in Barcelona with a predominantly local team, Oneness reveals its message for humanity in a solitary parade of monochrome green, black and beige pieces – reworked uniform silhouettes build in strong line, that stemmed from DEMOBAZA’s desire to work with contrast stitching, sporty details, delicate washing, spacy neoprene and loose tactile knits in cardigans and overcoats.
The barely hinted formal direction of the silhouette in both men’s and womenswear for the season is surely to be explored in the next Autumn-Winter collections of the Bulgarian brand. Directed by frequent collaborator Ruscen Vidinliev-Rushi and following his ideas for movement, lightning and contrasts, Оnesses features DEMOBAZA veterans Arnaada and Simonas, music by Unders and Sombre Lux and voiceover and lyrics by Zohar.
